Chatham, New York, is a 40-minute drive southeast from Albany, New York and a 2-1/2 hour drive north from New York City. The Fairgrounds are located on Route 66. Click here to download map.
From Albany
Take I-90 to Exit 12; go south on Route 9 to Route 203 in Valatie, follow signs to Chatham.
From Great Barrington, MA
Take 23W to The Taconic Parkway North to the Route 203/Chatham exit. Go west on Route 203 into the village. At traffic light, go left onto Route 66, turn right to fair entrance.
From Pittsfield, MA
Take State Route 20 to State Route 41 South. Then take Route 295 west to Chatham. Take Route 66 through Chatham past the Route 203 junction. Fair entrance is on the right.
From New York and the lower Hudson Valley
Take The Taconic Parkway to the Chatham exit and go west on Route 203 into the village. At traffic light, go left onto Route 66, turn right to fair entrance. Or take the New York State Thruway to the Catskill/Hudson exit. Follow signs to Route 23 east. Take Rip Van Winkle Bridge across, then Route 23 east to Route 9 north. Follow Route 9 north to Route 66 north. Fairgrounds entrance is on Route 66 on the left in the Village of Chatham.
Parking is free
Use the improved Route 66 vehicular gate, with four-lanes to keep things moving. Buy tickets AFTER you park. There is handicapped parking. Just ask the parking attendants for guidance. You can also park in the village and walk in at Route 203 entrance, buying tickets there.
