Dakota Kubli of New Lebanon High School was crowned 2017 Schoolgirl Queen Friday at the Columbia County Fair.
Chosen by the judges from among contestants representing all six of Columbia County’s public high schools, she was crowned by last year’s Schoolgirl Queen, Marissa O’Dell of Ichabod Crane.
Dakota is the daughter of Holly and William Trong. She enjoys art, drawing, playing ukulele, singing, baking, makeup artistry, and yoga. In school, she participates in volleyball, choir, Literary Arts Club, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society.
